"COLT MODEL 1902 MILITARY SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. SN 12846. Cal. 38 ACP (38 Rimless/Smokeless). Early production model with 6" bbl, fixed sights with high polish blue finish & checkered front grasping area on slide. It has a rounded hammer spur & a lanyard loop in left heel. Fitted with rampant Colt & "Colt" embossed hard rubber grips. Accompanied by one orig magazine with patent date on base. Although this pistol was produced in fairly large numbers, very few survive today with any amount of orig blue finish. CONDITION: Very fine plus. Overall retains 93-95% strong, glossy, orig factory blue with muzzle & sharp edge wear & some flaking on right side of frame with a few fine scattered spots of light rust. Magazine is very fine, grips are crisp. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore. Altogether a fine example of this model. 4-35612 JR266 (3,000-5,000)"
