Cased Allen & Wheelock Sidehammer Belt Model Revolver
Serial no. 405, .34 percussion caliber, 5-shot roll-engraved cylinder, 5 7/8-inch
octagonal barrel, with standard maker address and patent markings on left side; blued,
with case-hardened cylinder, lever and hammer; varnished walnut grips. Varnished mahogany
case with purple velvet lining; accessories of powder flask, steel bullet mold, percussion
caps and miscellaneous projectiles.
Condition: Excellent. 95% finish, excepting 50% blue on frame,
balance flaking and turning gray and brown; 98% varnish on grips with light storage marks.
Case excellent with some mottling to varnish on lid.
