Colt Frontier Six-Shooter Single Action Revolver Together with Period Mexican Loop
Holster by R.T. Frazier, Pueblo, Colorado
Serial no. 71761, .44-40 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with Hartford address and etched
panel reading: Colt Frontier Six-Shooter. Nickel-plated finish. Walnut grips. Sold
together with copy of Colt factory letter stating: Barrel length not listed; shipped to
Hartley & Graham, New York on August 24, 1881 in a shipment of 50 revolvers. Contained
in an early 20th century brown leather Mexican loop holster marked: R.T. Frazier/Pueblo,
Colo.
Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 15-20% finish, the remainder
showing grey patina, light pitting and heavy wear overall. Grips with light wear overall
with minor marks on butt. Holster showing heavy wear with separated seam and top re-cut to
provide faster access to weapon.
