Fine Early Colt New Service Double Action Revolver with Low Serial Number
Serial no. 236, .44-40 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with single line maker and Hartford
marking; NEW SERVICE CAL. 44 on left side of barrel; rampant colt and model designation on
sideplate; high gloss blued finish with checkered hard rubber grips; lanyard swivel on
butt.
Condition: Fine. 92% blue, balance fading to gray and brown; minor
wear and marks; tracking lines on cylinder; grips fine. Three notches neatly filed onto
rear of buttstrap.
Note: Mfd. 1898.
