Fine Cased Colt Paterson No. 2 Belt Model Percussion Revolver Complete with
Accoutrements
Serial no. 413, [wedge 440] .34 caliber, 4-inch octagonal barrel with address reading
left to right from breech: Patent Arms Mg Co Paterson NJ Colt's Pt. Blued finish. Folding
trigger. Rounded back cylinder. Varnished walnut grips. Contained in original brown
velvet-lined Colt walnut partitioned case together with extra cylinder, correct
single-cavity bullet mold, screwdriver tool, brass cleaning rod, brass capper with
illustrated cover and brass powder and powder charger. Brass lid escutcheon and key
present.
Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 10-15% blued finish,
primarily on frame and in protected recesses. Remaining areas showing a mottled grey
patina with scattered patches of light pitting present. Barrel wedge with tiny chip
present. Grips retaining approximately 70-75% varnish with tiny hairline crack in right
grip. Accoutrements are all very good to excellent with light wear and patina. Case with
light wear to lining, minor repair on back side next to hinge and minor blemishes to
exterior.
