Colt Model 1862 Police Percussion Revolver Inscribed: C.B.H. Jackson
Serial no. 20909 [with "L" below], .36 caliber, 5 1/2-inch barrel with New
York address. Blued finish. Left side of frame marked: Colt's/Patent. Left side of
triggerguard marked: 8. Fluted cylinder. Silver-plated brass triggerguard and gripstrap
assembly. Backstrap inscribed in script: C.B.H. Jackson. Varnished walnut grips.
Condition: Very good as partially refinished. Retaining approximately
60-70% finish, the blue portion an old refinish of thin martial blue, the remaining area
with age patina. Triggerguard and gripstrap assembly retaining approximately 70-75% finish
with wear and patina to relief edges. Grips retaining approximately 85-90% finish with
minor chips, dents and bruises. Action tight and crisp.
