U.S. Martially Marked Colt Single Action Army Revolver, with Scarce A.P. Casey
Inspector Marking
Serial no. 16910, .45 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with italic Hartford single line
address marking; two-line two-patent date marking on left side of frame with U.S. stamped
to right; blued finish with case-hardened frame and hammer; one piece oil-finished walnut
grips. APC inspector cartouche marking on left grip; inspector markings of tiny letters C
(inspector Casey) and J for another inspector are found on various parts, as is the letter
P. Sold together with a correspondence file including an authentication letter from Colt
expert John Kopec.
Condition: Good to very good. Brown and gray patina, pitting;
tracking lines on cylinder; grips with light nicks and wear.
