Scarce Cased and Blued Colt Double Action Model 1878 Revolver, with Depot 14 Pall Mall

Serial no. 1754, .45 Boxer caliber, 5 1/2-inch barrel with single line COLT'S PT. F.A.
MFG. Co. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A DEPOT 14 PALL MALL LONDON. marking; 45 CAL/B on left side of
front bow of triggerguard; British proof marks on bottom of barrel breech and behind each
flute on cylinder. Lanyard ring on butt. Blued finish with varnished and checkered walnut
grips. Varnished oak casing with knurled brass disk inlay on lid; lined in green felt,
with Colt's 14 Pall Mall label in lid; accessories of L-shaped screwdriver, and pewter oil
bottle; wood cartridge block.
Condition: Excellent. 95% blue; sharp markings; minor brown patina on
lower left of barrel; grips fine; mechanism needs adjustment or repair. Case with nicks
and marks on exterior; interior with fading, wear, including to label.
