Colt Model 1849 Pocket Navy Percussion Revolver
Serial no. 4858, .36 caliber, 5 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with single-line New York
address. Rebated 5-shot cylinder. Frame marked: Colt's/Patent. Brass triggerguard and
gripstrap assembly. Varnished walnut grips.
Condition: Good. Metal with dark age patina and light pitting.
Cylinder scene present but showing scattered dents. Wedge screw a replacement. Brass with
light patina. Grips retaining approximately 60-70% finish with wear and light marks. Butt
with minor file marks. Action good.
