Serial no. 32422, 9mm caliber, six-shot cylinder, folding spur trigger; left side of frame in line with barrel stamped: E. LEFAUCHEUX/MR BREVETE. Leaf engraved frame, gripstraps and cylinder; blued finish. Varnished and checkered walnut grips. 12051 in oval panel stamped on cylinder.

Condition: Fine. 85% blue; light patina, pitting.

In 1983, Gene Smith and Chris Curtis published a limited printing THE PINFIRE SYSTEM, the very first book on the study of the pinfire guns. This new book is much more than a reprint, SYSTEM LEFAUCHEUX, Continuing the Study of Pinfire Cartridge Arms is in many ways an entirely new work.
