12 Gauge J. Ralezkys Hammer Double Barrel Shotgun.
Serial no 5363. 12 gauge. 28 7/8-inch Krupp steel barrels. Matted concave rib with
extension. Nickel-plated rounded action with rebounding bar-action locks. Action and locks
engraved with fine foliate scroll. Percussion style fences, Sideclips. Nickel plated
triggerguard and furniture. Greener-style crossbolt. Finely checkered half pistol grip
stock of slightly figured walnut. Cheekpiece. Checkered butt. Horn gripcap. Finely
checkered splinter fore-end with lever fore-end.
Condition: Fine, as partially redone. Barrels show 96 - 98% reblued
finish with some spotting. Left barrel shows a significant dent and 2 slight dents. Right
barrel shows 2 slight dents. Bores show frosting with some marks. Action and furniture
show bright redone nickel plating. Action and barrels show slight looseness. Stock shows
numerous nicks, scratches and impressions. Fore-end shows handling marks with a 1/2-inch
loss to edge. Refreshed checkering shows some uneveness.

1 5/8-inches. Drop at heel: 2 5/8-inches. Cast: None/ Weight: 6 pounds, 3 ounces. NOTE: It
appears that this gun was originally 14 gauge and the barrels have been open to 12 gauge
dimensions. The gun is out of proof due to enlarged bores. The gun is deemed unsafe to
fire until repaired and reproofed.
