Colt Model 1878 Side by Side Hammer Shotgun
Serial no. 16714, 12 gauge, 30-inch damascus barrels with concave rib. Case-hardened
frame and high-profile hammers. Double triggers. Checkered walnut stocks with pistolgrip
and steel buttplate.
Condition: Good. Metal showing grey patina with minor pitting and age
patina. Traces of case-hardening remaining on frame. Wood refinished and showing scattered
wear and marks. Minor hairline crack behind lockplates.
