Wells Fargo & Co. Express Marked Remington Model 1889 Double Barrel Hammer
Shotgun, with Special Length Damascus Barrels
Serial no. 82300, 10 gauge, 20-inch side-by-side barrels, with pronounced Damascus
twist; matted solid rib; Wells Fargo markings as follows: W.F. & CO. EX. on top of rib
at breech, bottom of right barrel at breech, bottom of fore-end, top of water table on
left side, and on each side of buttstock. Case-hardened locks and breech; checkered walnut
semipistolgrip stock with composition buttplate.
Condition: Very good. Barrels very good to fine, including bore; 60%
case-hardening on locks, with patina, light pitting; bottom of breech worn smooth and
bright, as is triggerguard, with light pitting, patina; stocks worn, with scratches, mars;
buttplate with commensurate wear.
