Colt Model 1883 Double Barrel Hammerless Shotgun
Serial no. 1793, 12 gauge, 30-inch Damascus barrels with full chokes; standard
markings; engraved breech, including on thumb lever and triggerguard, as well as forend
mounts; inscribed patent dates. Case-hardened frame. Automatic safety. Checkered and
varnished select walnut pistol grip stocks; composition buttplate.
Condition: Very good; 85% Damascus finish on barrels; with pitting
and patina; gray and brown patina to balance of steel parts, with light pitting; traces
case-hardening on frame.German silver oval inlaid on bottom of buttstock. Nicks and wear
on stocks; old cleaning. Fine bores with light pitting.
