Parker Double Barrel Hammerless Shotgun, c. 1917
Serial no. 177271, 16 gauge, 26-inch Vulcan steel barrels with standard markings, ivory
bead front sight; improved cylinder chokes; automatic safety, extractors, double triggers;
V and VH (latter within cartouche) stamped on top of frame water table; V within circle
and J.G. in circle on bottom of barrel lug; blued and case-hardened finish; border
engraved. Varnished and checkered walnut pistolgrip stocks, with cushioned Red Head brand
rubber buttpad. Length of pull, 14 7/8-inches.
Condition: Very good. Brown patina to barrels and breech, with light
pitting and wear, spot pitting on left barrel near breech; minor denting on barrels. Fine
bores. Traces varnish on fore-end; worn; buttstock cleaned and altered at butt, the
buttpad after-market.
