Rare and Unique Parker Brothers GHE Grade Side by Side Double Barrel Live Pigeon
Shotgun, Custom Made Without Safety and with 30-Inch Barrels, Accompanied by Carrying Case
Serial no. 156166, c. 1910; 20 gauge, 30-inch barrels, with standard marking in matted
rib. Bead front sight. Stamped PS and JG on bottom of barrels at breech. V on bottom of
lug between barrels. GH within diamond motif on top of watertable, along with serial
number and patent markings. Full choke to both barrels. Blued, with case-hardened
receiver. Scroll engraving, with three panels of game birds on frame and floorplate. Made
without safety. Straight English stock, with darker than normal wood. Automatic ejectors.
Splinter forend. Checkered and varnished walnut straight stocks; double triggers.
Doghead-style checkered buttplate; shield-shaped escutcheon inlaid on bottom of stock.
Condition: Fine; 95% blue on barrels; some fading and gray patina.
50% case-hardening; 20% blue on floorplate and triggerguard; gray patina to forend mounts.
Fine bores.
Note: Barrel breech bearing the mark of Jim Gary, renowned Parker employee and master
gunsmith.
