U.S. Springfield First Model 1865 Allin Conversion Rifle
Unserialized. .58 rimfire caliber, 37 3/4-inch polished steel barrel with blued
two-position rear sight and three polished steel barrel bands. Left facet of breech with
eaglehead. Top of tang marked: _864. Case-hardened breechblock, hammer and lock. Lock
marked: [eaglehead]/U.S./Springfield/1865. Standard walnut stock with faint ESA cartouche.
Steel ramrod. Sling mounts [see Flayderman 9A-354].
Condition: Excellent. In-the-bright metal excellent with light wear
overall. 100% vibrant case-hardening. Excellent wood with minor marks present.
