Burnside Second Model Breechloading Carbine by Bristol Firearms Company
Serial no. 152, .54 caliber, 21-inch barrel with standard two-position folding-leaf
rear sight. Bottom of barrel marked 94 [these models have mixed numbers]. Breechblock
marked: Burnside's/Patent/March 25th/1856/152. Case-hardened frame marked: Bristol Firearm
Co. Saddle ring and bar. Standard walnut stock with faint inspector cartouche.
Condition: Fine for this model. Metal with brown age patina and
scattered light pitting near breech. Wood with minor hairline crack and a few minor marks.
Estimate: $3500 - $5500
