*Scarce U.S. Winchester Model 1897 Slide Action Trench Shotgun
Serial no. 354224, 12 gauge, 2 3/4-inch chamber. 20-inch barrel with ventilated barrel
guard and bayonet lug stamped: 7311175. Blued finish. Left side of frame marked with
flaming bomb and U.S. Oiled walnut stocks with pistolgrip and inspector cartouche G.H.D.
Sling mount.
Condition: Very good as partially refinished. Retaining approximately
70-75% blued finish, the frame showing evidence of refinishing, the remaining areas with
scattered wear and patina. Magazine tube with slide wear. Wood excellent with light wear
to fore-end grip. Front sling ring missing.
