"DWM 1906 NAVY LUGER SECOND ISSUE WITH HOLSTER RIG. SN 9380a. Cal. 9 mm. Wonderful 1906 Navy with 6" bbl, DWM scroll on front toggle link, 100/200 meter adjustable Navy sight at rear toggle & crown "M" proofs on left side receiver. It has grip safety with orig matching numbered, concentric ring, crown "M" proofed Navy magazine. Accompanied by an orig black leather Navy holster with an orig takedown tool & proper Navy zig-zag pattern cleaning rod. A Navy issued Luger in this condition would be very difficult to improve upon. Consignor reports that this pistol is pictured in Still's book. PROVENANCE: Doug Smith Collection; Dr. Schrieber, Baltimore; Bob Simpson. CONDITION: Extremely fine plus, all matching except firing pin & grips which are unnumbered. Overall retains 98%+ strong orig factory blue & 98-99% strong orig factory straw colors. Grips are extremely fine with only minute wear & slight darkening with beautiful wood grain showing through & a few light nicks in checkering. Magazine is extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore. Takedown tool & cleaning rod are extremely fine. Holster shows light to moderate wear with some light scuffs & a gouge in flap and overall retains about 80% black finish. 4-36110 JR225 & BS (15,000-20,000)"
