"DWM STOEGER AMERICAN EAGLE NAVY LUGER WITH STOCK. SN 454v. Cal. 30 Luger. Very rare Stoeger Navy Luger with 6" bbl, American eagle over chamber & Navy 100/200 meter rear sight. It has DWM scroll on toggle link with safe position of safety marked "SAFE". Extractor marked "GELADEN". Right side of receiver is marked "A.F. STOEGER INC / NEW YORK" along with "GERMANY" in smaller letters. Right side of frame rail is marked "LUGER - REGISTERED U.S. PATENT OFFICE". "GERMANY" export mark is also on front of frame between serial number & series letter. Accompanied by a genuine unnumbered commercial Navy board stock marked with "GERMANY" export stamp & crown "M" on steel disk. It is also marked "TRANSATLANTIC C & W CO / NEW YORK". This configuration & caliber are very rare for a Stoeger Luger. PROVENANCE: Doug Smith Collection. CONDITION: Extremely fine, all numbered parts are matching. Overall retains about 97% strong orig blue & about 80% orig straw colors with slight holster & sharp edge wear. Front strap is strong with a small thin spot on back strap. Wood bottom magazine is very fine. Grips show very light wear with faint wood grain and appear to be orig to this pistol. Grip screws retain about 60% orig fire blue.
