"DWM 1906 URUGUAY NAVY COMMERCIAL LUGER WITH STOCK. SN 36836. Cal. 9 mm. Extremely rare Luger with 6" bbl, DWM scroll on front toggle link & 100/200 meter adjustable Navy rear sight. It has commercial "BUG" proofs on bottom of bbl & "BU" proofs on left side of receiver. Safety area is unmarked (standard 06 Navy's are marked Gesichert) with area beneath safety lever polished bright and it is fitted with a grip safety. Accompanied by a commercial wood base, Navy magazine with concentric rings & marked in script "Cal. 9m/m". Accompanied by an unnumbered & unmarked commercial Navy stock without straps. Stock has a large hole through wrist in between attaching iron tangs. This Luger is authenticated as being Uruguayan by serial range as reported in the National Automatic Pistol Collector magazine & on Jan Still's website. This is an extremely rare Luger & may be the only one extant. PROVENANCE: Doug Smith Collection. CONDITION: Extremely fine plus, all matching including grips, stock & magazine are unnumbered. Overall retains about 99% orig factory blue & about 97% orig straw colors. Grips are crisp with a few scattered chipped diamonds with good wood grain still visible. Magazine is near mint. The stock is very fine plus, showing a series of small bruises on left side with other light handling & use marks and retains most of its orig factory finish with some slight thinning to blue. Mechanics are crisp, very bright shiny bore. Altogether an extremely rare Navy Luger suitable for the most discerning collector. 4-36157 JR188 & BS (11,000-15,000)"
