Rare Engraved Indo-Persian Katar With Mounted Flintlock Pistols
Large 10 1/2-inch spearpoint blade, the sides engraved with pictorials portraying two
armed warriors. Floral borders. Blade bolster, grip and languets decorated en suite with
highly detailed gold-inlaid floral scrolls. Reverse twin-mounted .44 caliber steel
flintlock boxlock pistols with engraved sideplate details. 1 3/4-inch barrels. Length 16
5/8-inches. An scarce and early combination curiosa weapon.
Condition: Good. Blade with light grey age patina and scattered light
pitting. Gold-inlaid areas with light wear and dark age patina. Flintlock mechanisms good.
