Rare English Silver-Mounted Sword Pistol
22 1/2-inch tapered blade with double fullers with saw-toothed back edge. .50 caliber,
3 3/4-inch barrel. Crown over "V"and Crown over "P" proofs. Simple
flintlock mechanism. Finely detailed and hallmarked silver shell guard and knucklebow with
silver ferrule and pommel cap with steel finial. One-piece stag grip slotted for trigger.
No scabbard.
Condition: Good. Blade with scattered heavy wear; pitting and chips
to edge. Pistol elements good and mechanism functions well. Hilt and grip excellent with
light age wear and patina. No scabbard.
