Rare and Unique Spanish Miquelet Sword Pistol, c. 18th-century
22 1/2-inch unmarked straight blade with single median fuller. Large and thick ovoid
steel guard with serrated outer edge. 10mm, 4 5/8-inch part spiral/part octagonal pistol
barrel with Spanish proof at breech. Handsome scroll-engraved miquelet action. Steel
ramrod mounted bleow barrel. Tapered ebony grip with linear flutes and elongated octagonal
pommel cap with steel cap. Pistol trigger protected by guard. No scabbard.
Condition: Good. Blade showing wear, scattered pitting and light
patina. Pistol mechanism very good to fine. Grip with light wear and minor marks.
