Fine Cased Percussion Knife-Pistol, Unsigned, Probably Belgian, c. 1860
3 3/4-inch round barrel of approximately .25 caliber mounted on a folding-knife shaped
like a pistol and having a folding-trigger; four ivory grip-scales set with screws (some
replaced), spear-point folding-knife blade (retains traces of writing), german-silver
mountings, contained within a black Morrocan-leather bound casing lined with beige chamois
leather and fitted in the French manner, case contains small ivory cap-box, and lidded
compartment with ivory pull, nickel-plated hinges and lock-mechanism, marked BRITISH MADE.
Condition: Very good overall, with some light staining overall, with
blade bearing traces of writting, excellent ivory scales with aged patina, some
replacement screws, case with excellent interior, exterior with some scuffs to leather,
underside with applied sticker, lacking key.
