Unmarked European Steel Cane Knife/Revolver
35-inch wood veneered steel cane shaft with brass tip. 6-shot .32 caliber,
gilt-finished percussion revolver mechanism with folding trigger and 6 5/8-inch triangular
bayonet dagger threaded to front of cylinder. Handle with fluted ivory base and
gold-inlaid brass knob, the center with finely engraved and gold-inlaid griffin and snake
motif. The borders engraved and gold-inlaid with floral meander, griffins and other
mythical creatures. Length overall: 37 1/2-inches.
Condition: Very good to excellent with light wear and patina overall.
Minor losses to veneer and evidence of revarnishing.
