Rare Cased Savage & North Figure 8 Model Revolver, First Production without Serial
Number or Markings
.36 caliber percussion, 6-shot, 7 1/8-inch octagonal barrel, rounded brass frame;
cylinder chamber mouths protruding to fit into breech end of barrel; varnished walnut
grips; early type loading lever; blued finish, with plain brass frame. Varnished mahogany
case lined in maroon velvet; with embossed powder flask, brass bullet mold, cap tin,
packet skin cartridges, extra coil spring, and miscellaneous projectiles.
Condition: Fine. Brown and gray patina to steel, minor light surface
pitting; mellow patina to brass; excellent grips with 98% varnish; case and accessories
fine; light wear, some warping and separation to lid and staining to interior;
Note: Total made of the first model estimated at 10.
