Cased Blunt and Syms Single-Shot Sidehammer Pistol
Serial no. 12, .44 caliber percussion 6-inch rifled octagonal barrel with top marked B
& S/NEW YORK/CAST STEEL; blued finish; varnished walnut grips. Varnished mahogany
case, with embossed powder flask with ball and cap compartments in base, bullet mold,
brass-mounted wood cleaning rod; case missing lock and lock plate.
Condition: Excellent. Likely never fired; 95% blue on barrel; 50%
blue on balance, with flaking, remainder gray and brown patina; 99% varnish with light
nicks on grips. Case excellent with 95% varnish. Complete with accessories.
