Rare Engraved Sharps Breech Loading Pepperbox Pistol, Model 1A, with Ivory Grips
Serial no. 37703, .22 rimfire caliber, 2 1/2-inch 4-shot barrel cluster; blued finish
on scroll and border engraved barrel, with silver-plated scroll and border engraved brass
frame; ivory grips. Circular markings on each side of frame.
Condition: Fine. Barrel turned to brown and gray; 70% silver-plating,
tarnished; ivory with mellow patina, minor chip from butt of right panel.
