Boxed and Engraved T.J. Stafford Single-Shot "Automatic" Breechloading
Pocket Pistol
Serial no. 1548, 3 1/2-inch octagonal barrel; with maker and New Haven address on top
of barrel rib, patent marking on buttstrap; engraved barrel and frame, with
mother-of-pearl grips. Silver-plated, with gold-plated frame; case-hardened hammer.
Pasteboard box with label on top and inside of lid; plus Phoenix Metallic Cartridge Co.
empty box; two cleaning patches and steel cleaning rod.
Condition: Excellent. 95% finish; tarnish on barrel; grips with light
discoloration, repaired chip on left panel at butt; minor pitting on frame at butt. Fine
box with light separation.
