Rare Boxed Merwin Hulbert & Co. Double Action Pocket Army Revolver , with Extra
Barrel and Low Serial Number
Serial no. 120, .44-40 caliber, 6-shot fluted cylinder, Merwin Hulbert & Co.,
address and model marking on right side of frame; Hopkins & Allen maker and address,
with patent markings, on left side of 3 3/8-inch barrel; maker and address only on left
side of extra 7-inch barrel, which has Merwin Hulbert & Co., New York and patent
markings on top; nickel-plated with case-hardened hammer, triggerguard and trigger;
checkered hard rubber grips. In tan pasteboard box, partitioned for including extra
barrel.
Condition: Excellent. 98% nickel on revolver, minor storage marks and
one spot patina on right side of short barrel; long barrel 100% nickel; 90%
case-hardening, fading; minor tracking lines to cylinder; grips excellent. Box with light
repair to partitions.
