U.S. Colt Model 1911-A1 Semi-Automatic Pistol
Serial no. 862442, .45 caliber, 5 inch barrel. G.H.D. acceptance stamps. Righr side of
frame stamped: United States Property. Parkerized finish. Checkered brown plastic grips.
Sold with a Colt factory letter stating that pistol was shipped with blue finish to:
Transportation Officer, Springfield Armory, Springfield, Massachusetts. For: Commanding
Officer. Shipped December 18, 1942. Colt Factory Order #1382. Number of guns in shipment:
1,950.
Condition: Very good as reconfigured. Retaining approximately 80-85%
parkerized finish with scattered light wear to relief edges and gripstrap showing light
age patina. Top of barrel with light slide wear. Bore very good. No magazine. Grips very
good.
