Colt Single Action Army Revolver from .44 Rimfire Series, with One Piece Ivory Grips
Serial no. 1253, .44 rimfire caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with one-line maker and
Hartford address marking on top; 44 CAL on left shoulder of triggerguard strap; tiny 44 on
bottom of barrel breech; two-line two patent date marking on left side of frame;
nickel-plated; one piece ivory grips. Matching number 1253 on cylinder periphery. Sold
together with a Colt factory letter stating gun was shipped to Schuyler, Hartley and
Graham, New York, New York, November 3, 1877 in a shipment of 50.
Condition: Very good. Gray patina; old cleaning, wear, light pitting;
replacement screws and cylinder pin. Antique grips worn and with mellow coloration; cracks
on butt; old replacements.
