Rare British-Proofed Colt Lightning Medium Frame Slide Action Carbine
Serial no. 80915, .32 caliber, 12-shot magazine. 20-inch round barrel with standard
sights. British proofs. Blued finish. Rampant Colt on left side of frame. Case-hardened
hammer and buttplate. Fire-blued trigger. Walnut stocks. Sold with copy of Colt factory
letter confirming configuration.
Condition: Excellent. Retaining approximately 80-85% finish with
scattered wear to relief edges, lower tang and buttplate. Wood excellent with a few minor
marks. Action excellent.
Note: Manufactured in 1897.
