Colt A-Engraved Post World War II Single Action Army Revolver, in Custom Shop Box
Serial no. 92877SA. .45 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with one line maker and Hartford
barrel address on top; left side marked COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45; two-line three patent
date marking on left side of frame with rampant colt logo to right; blued, with
case-hardened frame; checkered hard rubber grips. Scroll engraved with punched dot
background; attributed to William Mains, coverage on barrel, ejector rod housing,
cylinder, frame and gripstraps. Custom Shop box; with plastic wrapper, brochures, form
letter and label indicating Factory Order no. 10344, serial number and "Engraved -
Class - A." COLT ENG stamped on left side of triggerguard strap (visible when grips
removed). Sold together with a Colt factory letter confirming configuration.
Condition: Excellent. Box fine.
