Cased Deluxe Lefaucheux 20-Shot Single-Action Revolver, Profusely Engraved and with
Gold-Washed Finish
Serial no. 44, 8mm caliber, 4 15/16-inch over-and-under barrels; the 1 1/8-inch
cylinder with 24 chambers, in two tiers, firing in an alternating sequence. The maker name
and Paris address on right side of bottom strap of frame, beneath cylinder. Pin front
sight dovetailed at muzzle; rear sight a notch on hammer spur, aligned when cocked.
Folding trigger, single-action system. Profusely flush and low relief-engraved steel, with
gold-wash finish. Grips of checkered select walnut; with lanyard ring on butt. The
leather-covered wooden caskette case with brass tack trim; lined in blue velvet with
bevelled compartment lids, the revolver fitted upside-down and in the contour style;
accessories of steel single cavity bullet mold with sprue cutter, loading tool, powder
measurer, turned wood handle, 16 pinfire cartridges and brass key. Brass plaque attached
to case lid; brass key plate.
