Rare Belgian Cavalry Pinfire Revolver/Sword with Scabbard, c. 1840
32 1/2-inch curved blade with clip-point tip with single wide fuller and two median
fullers near tip. Base of blade etched with arms panoplies and floral scroll. Hilt with
integral pinfire revolver with 6-Shot cylinder. Topstrap marked: 293/ H.G. &
F/Brevete. Belgian proofs. Steel stirrup knucklebow with fingerform checkered walnut grip
scales. Octagonal pommel cap. Steel scabbard with two ring mounts and recess to accomodate
revolver barrel.
Condition: Very good. Metal with light grey age patina and scattered
wear overall. Grip good. Revolver mechanism needs minor repair.
