Cased, Deluxe Engraved, Gold Plated and Ivory Gripped Pinfire Double Action Revolver
Serial no. 126514, 9mm pinfire caliber, 6 1/4-inch barrel with engraved solid rib, the
left side stamped with crown over A, and the number 4469; 6 shots; finely and profusely
scroll and floral engraved in high relief on barrel, cylinder, frame and gripstraps.
Buttcap with lanyard ring; ivory grips with three notches on right panel. Full
gold-plating, including on screws and ejector rod. Steel screwdriver with faceted ivory
handle; knurled and gold-plated mount at top. Rosewood veneered case with wire inlaid top
and brassbound corners; lined in blue velvet, fitted in the French style.
Condition: Revolver very good. 75% gold; balance with dark patina,
blistering; pitting. Ivory grips mellow, with light cracks and discoloration. Case needs
cleaning; missing some of veneer and gold wire, as well as lid plaque, and thumb piece and
key plaque at front; missing left front corner of bottom. Interior at bottom in need of
repair, regluing. Balance of accessories missing. Double action mechanism needs return
spring and minor repair. Screwdriver with minor cracks, patina and broken blade at tip.
