Engraved Double Barrel Hammer Shotgun by Thomas Turner
Serial no. 1311, 12-gauge, 30-inch damascus barrels with rib marked: Thomas Turner,
Market Place, Reading. Finely engraved hammers, locks, frame and furniture. Under lever
barrel latch. Boldly checkered walnut stocks. Blank oval escutcheon on bottom of
buttstock.
Condition: Very good. Metal with mellow dark brown age patina.
Hammers, locks, furniture all in bright steel. Wood with only a few minor handling marks.
Mechanically sound.
