Remington-Whitmore Model 1874 Double Barrel Hammer Shotgun
Serial no. 915, 10 gauge, 32-inch barrels, with concave rib stamped E. REMINGTON &
SONS ILION N.Y.; front sight a brass bead; sliding latch and uplift lever; blued, with
case-hardened breech, locks, triggerguard, barrel release, buttplate and fore-end mount.
Double triggers; lifter barrel release mounted on topstrap; varnished and checkered
straight select walnut stocks.
Condition: Fine. 75% blue on barrels, fading; 60% case-hardening,
fading; traces on buttplate, turned gray; 99% varnish on stocks with some storage marks.
