Serial no. 16275, 12 gauge, cylinder choked 28-inch barrels, solid rib, bead front
sight; maker and 98 New Bond Street address on rib at breech; gold inlaid 2 on barrel
breech and on thumb lever; Royal grade inscribed on bottom of breech, rose and scroll
engraving on locks and breech, including recoil shields; double triggers; automatic
ejectors; automatic safety; checkered and varnished straight select walnut stocks with
splinter fore-end; Bison cushioned recoil pad; silver oval escutcheon inlaid on bottom of
buttstock; length of pull, 15 3/4-inches.
Condition: Very good; old refinish. Wear, light pitting; dings on
barrel; gray patina to breech; stocks worn and with nicks; old replacement buttpad.
