*Rare .300 Savage Pre '64 Winchester Type 2 Model 70 Carbine
Serial number 75304. .300 Savage. 20-inch barrel; hooded front bead sight. Redfield
target peep sight, factory rear sight dovetail fitted with Redfield spacer. Blued finish.
Checkered pistolgrip stock of straight-grained walnut. Checkered buttplate. Sling swivels.
Condition: Very Good to Excellent. Metal shows 94-96% bluing with an
area on top of barrel showing losses to bluing and a few wear points near muzzle.
Excellent bore. Stock shows deep nick on comb and a few impressions on fore-end.
Note: According to consignor, one of four known Model 70 carbines in this caliber. The
Redfield sight was an accessory and is contoured to keep from hitting the stock.
