"COLT MODEL 1911A1 ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL NATIONAL MATCH SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. SN 1682169. Cal. 45 ACP. Fine arsenal National Match with gray/green parkerized finish with National Match marked slide, bbl & bushing. Slide is fitted with Kensight fully adjustable rear sight & a partridge front sight. It also has an adjustable aluminum trigger with full checkered walnut grips & checkered front strap. Right side of frame has usual markings with initials "RIA" in front of slide lock stud & "NM" on right front web of trigger bow. Bottom of trigger bow is wrapped with white tape printed in black that appears to read "NATIONAL", probably for National Match. Very likely had this pistol been used this tape would have been immediately removed. Few of these wonderful shooting, high quality military National Match pistols were sold outside military channels and are rarely encountered today, most having been built in the 1950's & 60's. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Appears to be unfired & pristine new since being built, retaining virtually all of its crisp parkerized finish with crisp orig grips & mechanics, brilliant shiny bore. 4-34999 JR160 (3,500-5,000)"
