"COLT MODEL 1911A1 SEMI-AUTO MILITARY PISTOL. SN 928511. Cal. 45 ACP. Usual configuration with gray/green parkerized finish, fixed sights & usual markings on slide & frame with "GHD" (Lt. Col. Guy H. Drewry) inspector initials. It has full checkered brown plastic grips with large donuts & an "S" code all blue magazine. This pistol was produced in 1943 with a matching numbered slide and is one of the early parkerized 1911A1's. Bbl is all blue with "P" proof on lug and "COLT 45 AUTO" on lower left side. Accompanied by a "1943" dated Boyt Aviator or Tankers shoulder holster with "US" on front. Inside the backing of holster is stamped in ink "L.W. CARDELLING / O-571191". CONDITION: Pistol is very fine. Overall retains about 95% smooth greenish black parkerized finish with temper line at front end of slide. Grips are fine. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore. Holster is fine retaining much of its orig russet finish with a broken snap on belt loop. 4-35001 JR142 (2,000-3,000)"
