"US WINCHESTER M-1 CARBINE WITH SLING, POUCH AND MAGAZINE. SN 5638945. Cal. 30M1. This 1944 dated Winchester carbine is a fine example of the later manufactured Winchesters and still has flip sight but retains a type 2 bbl band with a flat blued bolt assembly. Rifle shows to be all original in both condition and finish and is accessorized by a 1944 vintage sling; an Avory 1943 magazine pouch containing two brand new, in the wrapper, Winchester marked magazines; and a M13 gun cover for a Browning 1919A4 machine gun. CONDITION: Receiver retains approximately 95% of original Parkerized finish with just some minor wear from having the slide actuated. Bolt shows approximately the same with only some minor wear from being actuated and one small punch mark. Bbl shows approx 90% of original Parkerizing with light scuffing from having the bbl band moved during disassembly. Original magazine catch, trigger and safety assembly are of the later Parkerized variety, as they should be. Buttstock and handguard show near excellent with only the slightest rub marks and a very crisp WRA GHD cartouche with crossed cannons. Magazine in gun is refinished. 4-31745 BK160 (1,800-2,500)"
