"BRITISH ENFIELD NO. 4 MARK I SNIPER RIFLE. SN L38636. Cal. 303 Brit. Usual configuration with 25-1/4" bbl, standard front sight with a 1,300 meter ladder rear sight. Left side of receiver has standard British sniper bases but, unfortunately is missing scope. Receiver ring is dated "1944". Mounted in a 2-pc walnut stock with 2-pc handguard and a white metal buttplate with trap. Comb of stock has a screwed-on cheekpiece. CONDITION: Rifle shows approx 95% of an arsenal finish on the receiver and trigger group. Bbl bands, bbl and front sight assembly show approx 75% enamel finish with some scratches. Buttstock and handguards show good overall, having been cleaned and arsenal refinished with only minor scuffing. Magazine shows a plum finish overall. Mechanics are fine, strong sharp bore that should clean very well. 4-31832 (700-1,000)"
