GERMAN MODEL 98K WWII SHARPSHOOTER'S RIFLE WITH A ZF41 SNIPER SCOPE. SN 47754A. BYF 44 model 98K sharpshooter's rifle, all matching, with ZF41 scope. The 98-K was the workhorse of the German Army. It is one of the most dependable bolt action rifles ever produced. This design was used by countries all over the world right through the 1960's. The sniper variation also came with a large variety of scopes and mounts. CONDITION: The receiver and bbl assembly show between 85% and 90% original blue with the bore showing bright with moderate wear. Bbl and bbl bands show approximately 80% orig finish with middle band being slightly thin and scattered light scratching on the bbl and front band. Triggerguard assembly show approx 85% blue with scattered corrosion and floorplate shows even brown patina. Buttstock and handguard shows good overall with mostly light but moderate scuffing present. Buttplate shows moderate patina and the sling shows good thought slightly dry. ZF41 scope and mount show good overall, retaining approxi 85% finish with reasonably clear optics with mount being slightly loose. 4-33231 BK144 (2,200-3,000)
