Fine and Scarce Cuno Helfricht Engraved and Gold- and Nickel-Plated Colt Police
Positive Revolver, with Pearl Grips
Serial no. 36012, .38 Special caliber, 4-inch barrel with standard maker, Hartford and
patent dates double line address marking; rampant colt and C in engraved oval on
sideplate; nickel-plated finish with gold-plated cylinder, cylinder pin, hammer and
trigger; mother-of-pearl grips. Helfricht scroll and border engraved with punched dot
background and zig zag lines; coverage on barrel, cylinder and frame. Sold together with
Colt factory letter confirming configuration.
Condition: Fine. 95% nickel, spots of flaking, primarily on
gripstraps; 50% gold; light wear, minor patina; grips with minor fading to otherwise
strong color.
