Colt Model 1851 Navy Percussion Revolver with Steel Triggerguard and Gripstrap
Assembly
Serial no. 100732, .36 caliber, 7 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with Hartford address. Left
side of frame marked: Colt's/Patent. Letter "G" stamped on left side of
triggerguard. Large triggerguard. Scarce steel triggerguard and gripstrap assembly.
Varnished walnut grips.
Condition: Very good. Metal with dark grey age patina with slight
traces of nickel finish remaining in protected areas. Cylinder scene faint but present,
showing scattered dents, one spot of heavy pitting and minor scratches. Grips retaining
approximately 80-85% varnish with wear to relief edges and minor marks. Action good.
